This morning after some almost-bodyweight back squat PR triples (3 reps x 3 sets x 155#!) my client discovered a new skill: the lache!
There is a 5-second slow-motion video, but it doesn't want to upload just yet.
Lache ("lah shay") is a parkour skill that involves swinging from a bar, branch, or ledge to another one some distance in front of the original.
(Please see: Lache)
I'm constantly inspired by and in awe of my clients: their risk-taking, their desire to notice fear, and their determination to they walk right up to it, tap it on the shoulder, to say, "Hello, Fear! Thank you for trying to protect me today! However, right now, I am safe. I trust my strength and I trust my abilities. My desire to find out if I can accomplish this task today is much more powerful than your desire to keep me small. Please stay away until there is an actual threat."
Keep playing, keep taking risks, keep learning, and keep growing...otherwise, you're just another body wasting its potential.
Thank you for your growth and inspiration!
