Hello! I'm Alexandra, a Useful Human Coach in Sacramento, California. I am a former badass University of Georgia NCAA D-I National Championship swim team member, and I know what it means to train as and be a highly specialized human: there was nothing else. I could (and still can, really) swim a helluva long way, in a much shorter period of time than most other folks. But that was ALL I could do! Now--thanks to coaches & fellow ambassadors of the physical subculture Chip, Allyson, Mace, and Kyle at BodyTribe, their teachings and it's Holistic Athlete Philosophy--I lift the heavy things. And I get to move around on this swirling orb with a lot more ease and a bit more grace, finally stepping into my power, ready to stop playing small, to take up my space.
My goal is to provide YOU with the tools to do the same, experiencing yourself as your strongest, most useful & capable YOU!

Join me for 1-on-1 Useful Human Training sessions Tuesday through Saturday, or small group (3-5 Useful Humans) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings 6:30-7:30, to move your body in new ways: your Self correctly and simple tools creatively. You'll challenge your body to battles with Gravity, doing things you've never done, overcoming obstacles, physical and beyond. If we feel moved to, we'll include a bit of AcroYoga to our time together, learning to build trust, communication and new proprioceptive awareness. Add a private counseling session, with me, to your weekly routine to discover and nourish the power, courage, beauty, strength, and love that already exists within you. Boldly dream and experience true freedom from imaginary limitations that hold you back from stepping into and experiencing your power!
We'll practice quality before quantity, always emphasizing technique. We'll spend time helping your body learn what it feels like to activate the big muscle groups first, to lift more efficiently and safely. We'll add playtime and cathartic release to our workouts, helping make you a very well-rounded, healthy, and happy human. Every movement is optional; each person's journey is their own. Sometimes you'll feel challenged, physically and emotionally, allowing you to discover new growth edges and boundaries, meeting them, and experiencing awareness and growth in a safe space. I'll use my counseling skills to help you break the cycle and end the self-doubt, "shoulds," and "should haves." You'll learn to befriend your judgment, and recognize your needs as you build awareness, moving toward acceptance at your own pace. You'll be listened to and supported with kindness, empathy, and compassion, no matter where you are in your day, or what you bring to our sessions. You'll leave your workout feeling accomplished: your body challenged, your mind fed and nourished, your heart seen...ready to move forward with energy to spare.
